Saying goodbye to Barstow...

Last day at our great KOA in Yermo. What a nice campground it has been too. We highly recommend it! Clean, friendly and nice big sites. Fun area for kids too (even big ones like us)

Barstow's actually a cute little town with a couple of nice old murals sharing the fact that it's part of the "famous route 66"! ;-) I love murals and tend to "collect" them as I go...so you may see them a lot as we travel. I think it takes a special kind of artist to be able to paint big like that and share it with all of us!

Penny's Diner quickly became a favorite of ours. Both for the great food, cooked just the way we asked, and for the friendly staff! Cute place and they give a KOA discount!

One last look before we head out of town on our way to visit with friends in Pahrump...
